The story behind the figure?

Rumor, (from a backstage worker at the time), has it that
Remco produced only 24 of the Dusty Rhodes, "American Dream" figure.
It was originally intended that the lot go to both Wally Karbo & Verne Gagne, exclusively.
Instead the lot was mis-shipped to a few retail stores in the upper midwest,
making this the most valuable of all the AWA Remco figures.
This figure is dated the same as the rest, 1985 REMCO.

This extremely rare 1985 Remco figure comes
complete with his original robe (as pictured above).
